KAMBO HEALING THERAPY

“Nature is not for us, it is a part of us. They are part of your worldly family”.

— Lakota’s Code of Ethics in Life Lessons —

Introduction

For millennia, indigenous Amazonian tribes including the Katukina, Amahuaca, Kulina, Yawanawa, Marubo, Mayoruna, and Matsés have harnessed the power of Kambo. They have employed it not only to dispel Panema, which signifies dark energy but also to achieve physical and mental enhancements. Warriors experience heightened stamina, speed, mental acuity, and sensory focus. Similarly, hunters attribute its use to rendering them virtually odourless to wildlife, aiding in stealthy pursuits.

Kambo and Science

The secretion of the Phyllomedusa Bicolor could open new avenue for the treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, chronic pain, cancer, AIDS, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's, depression, vascular hepatitis, diabetes, rheumatism, arthritis, addictions, etc. Kambo contains the substance Dermaseptin, know to be beneficial in fighting cancer cells. Kambo's cocktail of bio-active peptides continues to be researched for antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and anaesthetic applications.

What is Kambo?

Kambo is a traditional healing substance derived from the secretions of the giant nocturnal treefrog, Phyllomedusa Bicolor, native to the Amazon rainforest. This frog uses the skin secretion for protection and has no natural enemies.

How is Kambo administered?

Kambo is typically administered through small burns on the skin. The secretions are applied topically entering the lymphatic system through the openings. Then, it is usually the opposite effect where one might feel cold, dizzy and nauseous. Fainting may occur when the initially elevated blood pressure returns to or just below normal levels. Kambo is known for its powerful purgative effects, which can induce vomiting and diarrhea, as well as other physical (sweating, spitting) and emotional effects.

What is the aftercare?

Here are some important steps to consider. It's essential to listen to your body's needs and give it the time and nourishment it requires for a smooth recovery.

Rest: Resting after a Kambo session allows the body to recover and heal. It's normal to feel fatigued, so avoid strenuous activities and prioritize relaxation.

Hydration: Drink plenty of water to stay well-hydrated. Kambo can cause fluid loss through purging, so replenishing fluids is essential to prevent dehydration.

Supportive Diet: Light, Non-Processed Foods: Consume a diet that is gentle on the digestive system. Opt for foods that are easy to digest, such as soups, broths, fruits, and vegetables and avoid Heavy, Spicy or Processed Foods.

What is the integrative process after Kambo?

Integration is a vital aspect of any healing journey. It helps individuals in understanding and making sense of their experiences. This process is ongoing, with the lessons and changes initiated by Kambo continuing to unfold weeks after the ceremony.

We will encourage participants to:

Take Time for Introspection: After the ceremony, we will encourage individuals to take time for introspection and contemplation in order to process the insights and emotions that may have emerged during the session.

Keep a Journal: We suggest keeping a journal to document thoughts, emotions, and experiences following the ceremony. This can aid in tracking personal growth and transformation.

Maintain Communication: We encourage individuals who participate in our ceremony to keep us informed of their inner development, especially if they have encountered challenging emotional or psychological material during their sessions.
